Maple Bliss Ice Cream

Indulging in Maple Bliss: The Ultimate Ice Cream Recipe for Sweet Lovers

There’s nothing quite like the rich, comforting taste of maple, especially when it’s enveloped in a creamy, chilled dessert. Today, I’m thrilled to share a recipe that not only celebrates the delightful flavor of maple but also introduces a fun twist with optional crunchy mix-ins. Whether you’re a fan of nuts or have a soft spot for cookies, this Maple Bliss Ice Cream recipe is designed to satisfy your sweet tooth in the most indulgent way possible.

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups of milk
  • 4 tablespoons of instant vanilla pudding
  • 1/2 cup of heavy cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon of maple extract
  • Optional Mix-in: 1/4 cup of chopped maple sandwich cookies or nuts (pecans or walnuts work great!)

Directions:

  1. Prepare the Base: In a small mixing bowl or a large liquid measuring cup, whisk together the milk and instant pudding mix until the pudding is completely dissolved.
  2. Add Cream and Flavor: Stir in the heavy cream and maple extract until everything is well combined.
  3. Freeze: Transfer the mixture into a Ninja Creami pint container. Be careful not to overfill; stick to the max fill line. Seal the lid and place it in your freezer on a level surface. Let it freeze solid for at least 24 hours.
  4. Churn: After the freezing period, remove the pint and take off the lid. Place the container into the outer bowl of the Ninja Creami and lock the lid in place. Secure the bowl in the machine and press the Ice Cream cycle button. Let the cycle run until it completes.
  5. Check Consistency: Once done, check the consistency of the ice cream. If it’s crumbly, put it back into the machine and press the Re-spin button. If it remains crumbly after a Re-spin, add a tablespoon of milk and run the Re-spin cycle again.
  6. Add Mix-ins (Optional): If you’re using mix-ins, use a butter knife or the handle of a wooden spoon to create a central well in the ice cream, reaching the bottom of the pint. Add your mix-ins, replace the ice cream into the machine, and press the Mix-in button to combine everything evenly.
  7. Serve: Scoop out the creamy delight, serve immediately, and watch it disappear!

Description

Maple Bliss Ice Cream combines the comforting sweetness of maple with the rich creaminess of homemade ice cream. This indulgent treat is perfect for any season but especially delightful during the warm summer months.

Its preparation, though requiring patience, is a simple journey to a decadent dessert. You can enhance this basic recipe by adding nuts or maple sandwich cookies for a satisfying crunch. Each spoonful promises a burst of delightful flavors that make it more than worth the wait.

Ingredients

Scale

1 1/2 cups milk
4 tablespoons instant vanilla pudding
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/2 teaspoon maple extract
Optional Mix-in: 1/4 cup chopped maple sandwich cookies or nuts, such as pecans or walnuts

Instructions

In a small mixing bowl or large liquid measuring cup, combine milk and instant pudding mix. Whisk together until the pudding mix has dissolved.
Add heavy cream and maple extract, stirring to combine.
Pour mixture into a Ninja Creami pint container, ensuring not to exceed the max fill line. Close the lid and transfer to a level surface in the freezer for at least 24 hours.
Remove the pint from the freezer and take off the lid. Place the pint container into the outer bowl of the Ninja Creami, locking the lid into place.
Secure the outer bowl in the Ninja Creami machine, then press the Ice Cream button. Allow the cycle to complete.
Remove the pint from the machine and check the ice cream’s consistency. If it appears crumbly, insert it back into the machine and use the Re-spin button. If still crumbly, add a tablespoon of milk and Re-spin once more.
Optional: If adding a mix-in, use a butter knife or the handle of a wooden spoon to create a well in the center of the ice cream down to the bottom of the pint. Add your mix-in, then reinsert the outer bowl into the machine. Press the Mix-in button to incorporate.
Serve and enjoy!
