1/2 cup (120ml) heavy whipping cream
1/2 tbsp vanilla extract
1/2 to 1 tsp salt
For the Cinnamon Apples:

For the Cinnamon Whipped Cream and Granola:
1 cup (240ml) heavy whipping cream
1/2 cup (58g) powdered sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 cup cinnamon granola
Instructions
1๏ธโฃ Make the Caramel Sauce:
In a medium saucepan, combine granulated sugar and water. Cook over medium-low heat until the sugar dissolves, about 3-5 minutes. ๐ฒ
Add the butter and let it melt. Increase heat to medium and bring to a boil. Do not stir; allow the mixture to turn a deep golden copper color, about 10-15 minutes. ๐ง๐ฅ
Remove from heat and carefully add the heavy cream, whisking continuously. Add vanilla extract and salt. Allow to cool to room temperature. ๐ฅ
2๏ธโฃ Prepare the Cinnamon Apples:
In a medium pan, combine diced apples, lemon juice, nutmeg, cinnamon, and brown sugar. Toss to coat. ๐๐
Cook over medium heat for about 10 minutes, or until apples are tender. Allow to cool. ๐
3๏ธโฃ Make the Cinnamon Whipped Cream:
In a large bowl, beat heavy whipping cream until it starts to thicken. Add powdered sugar and cinnamon, and continue to beat until stiff peaks form. ๐ถ๐
4๏ธโฃ Assemble the Trifles:
In individual serving glasses, layer whipped cream, granola, caramel sauce, and cinnamon apples. Repeat layers. ๐จ
Top with an extra drizzle of caramel sauce. ๐ฏ
Additional Tips:
These trifles taste best when allowed to set in the fridge for a few hours before serving. โ๏ธ
The granola provides a nice crunch, but it will soften over time. Itโs best to eat the trifles within a day or two. โฒ๏ธ
