Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour, plus extra for dusting
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup water
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Additional salt, to taste
Instructions
In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
Gradually add in the water, mixing until a soft dough forms.
Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead it for about a minute until it is smooth. Let the dough rest for about 15 minutes.
Divide the dough into four equal portions and roll each piece into a thin round (about 1/8 inch thick).
Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Cook each flatbread for about 1-2 minutes on one side, until bubbles form, then flip and cook the other side for an additional minute. Stack the cooked flatbreads and wrap them in a clean towel to keep them warm.
In the same skillet, melt the butter and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant. Brush this garlic butter generously over each flatbread.
Sprinkle with chopped parsley and a pinch of salt to taste before serving.
