Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
1 tbsp olive oil
1 small onion, chopped
3 garlic cloves, minced
½ tsp onion powder
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp dried oregano
½ tsp dried parsley
½ tsp salt
Pepper, to taste
28 oz marinara sauce
½ c chicken broth
4 oz mozzarella, shredded or sliced
¼ c fresh Parmigiano reggiano, grated
24 oz potato gnocchi
Optional: fresh basil for garnish
Instructions
Brown the ground beef in a large sauté pan over medium heat. Drain off excess grease.
Add olive oil, onion, and garlic to the pan and sauté until onions are translucent, about 3-5 minutes.
Stir in onion powder, garlic powder, oregano, parsley, salt, and pepper.
Add marinara sauce and chicken broth; stir to combine.
Reduce heat to low, cover the pan, and let simmer for 20 minutes.
Stir in the gnocchi, cover, and simmer for an additional 10 minutes.
Mix in mozzarella until melted. Sprinkle with grated Parmigiano reggiano.
Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil if desired.
