Directions

    • Thaw the shrimp completely and pat them dry.
    • Remove the shell, tail, and veins if necessary.
  2. Mix Sauce Ingredients:
    • In a small bowl, combine all sauce ingredients except for the cornstarch and water. Set aside.
  3. Cook Shrimp and Broccoli:
    • Heat peanut oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
    • Add the shrimp and cook for about 1 minute and 20 seconds per side, then transfer to a plate.
    • In the same skillet, add broccoli and sauté for about 4 minutes until slightly softened.
  4. Thicken the Sauce:
    • Mix cornstarch with ¼ cup cold water until smooth.
    • Return the sauce to the skillet and bring to a boil.
    • Gradually stir in the cornstarch mixture until the sauce thickens.
  5. Combine and Serve:
    • Reduce heat to low, add the broccoli back, and cover partially, letting it heat for 2-3 minutes.
    • Add the shrimp back to the skillet, spooning the sauce over them, and heat through for about 1 minute.
