Description

Welcome to your new favorite way to enjoy the classic taste of apple pie! These Air Fryer Apple Pie Delights are not only simple to make but offer a delightful twist on a traditional dessert. Using an air fryer, these treats achieve a flaky crust with a gooey apple center, making them perfect for a quick dessert or a sweet indulgence. Ready in minutes, they’re sure to become a family favorite!

Ingredients

Scale
  • ⅓ cup butter
  • ½ cup cinnamon sugar
  • 1 cup apple pie filling (from a 20-ounce can)
  • 1 16.3-ounce can of Pillsbury Grands Flaky Layers biscuits (8 large biscuits; Sweet Hawaiian, Honey Butter, or Original flavor)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Butter and Cinnamon Sugar Melt the butter in a microwave-safe bowl on HIGH for 30 seconds and stir until fully melted. If you need to make your cinnamon sugar, simply combine equal parts of sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl until well mixed.
  2. Prepare the Apple Filling Chop the apples from the pie filling into roughly ½ inch pieces. If there’s excess filling, save it for another use such as topping for pancakes.
  3. Preheat the Air Fryer Set your air fryer to 350F degrees to preheat.
  4. Prepare the Biscuits Take 4 biscuits and separate each into two halves. With a rolling pin or cylindrical glass, flatten each half into a 3 ½-inch circle.
  5. Assemble the Delights Place 1 rounded tablespoon of the chopped apple filling in the center of each biscuit circle. Fold the edges towards the center over the filling, pinching them together to seal, similar to forming a dumpling.
  6. Coat with Butter and Cinnamon Sugar Dip each assembled delight first in melted butter and then in cinnamon sugar, coating both the top and bottom. For an extra flavor boost, you can repeat the dipping in butter and cinnamon sugar.
  7. Cook in the Air Fryer Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray if it’s a metal basket to prevent sticking. Place the delights in the basket, ensuring they do not touch each other, with the pinched side down. Cook for 7 minutes or until they are golden brown and crisp.
  8. Repeat for Remaining Biscuits While the first batch is cooking, repeat the process with the remaining biscuits. Serve the delights warm for the best taste.
