Description

Avocado Ice Cream combines the creamy, buttery texture of ripe avocados with the tangy zest of lime, creating a refreshing and indulgent dessert. This unique ice cream is not only a treat to the taste buds but also offers a healthier alternative to traditional ice cream, boasting the natural fats and nutrients of avocados.

Perfect for those warm summer days or as a delightful finish to any meal, this Avocado Ice Cream recipe is both simple and quick to prepare. It’s a wonderful way to introduce avocados in a sweet form, ensuring a smooth, creamy texture that makes it a favorite among both adults and children. Enjoy it as a soft serve right out of the ice cream maker or freeze it a bit longer for a more traditional scoopable delight.

Ingredients

Scale

3 ripe avocados, peeled and pitted
1 (14oz) can sweet condensed milk
Juice of one lime
1 cup heavy cream (plus 1/2 cup more if needed)
1/2 cup milk

Instructions

Add all ingredients to a blender and puree until smooth. If the mixture is too thick, add the extra 1/2 cup heavy cream and stir in by hand.
Transfer the mixture to a freezer-safe container and chill for 4 hours.
After 4 hours, process the mixture in an ice cream machine for about 20 minutes or until it sets.
Serve immediately for soft serve or return it to the freezer for a few more hours for a firmer texture.
Notes:

If you don’t have an ice cream machine, just freeze the ice cream for 6 hours and serve.
