Ingredients
8 oz brie cheese wheel
2 apples, cored and chopped
1 tbsp brown sugar
½ tsp cinnamon
¼ tsp nutmeg
Juice of ½ lemon
2 tbsp unsalted butter
2 tbsp honey
¼ cup walnuts, chopped
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a small baking dish with parchment paper and place the brie wheel on it. Bake for 15 minutes.
In a small bowl, combine chopped apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Squeeze in lemon juice, and let sit for 5 minutes.
Heat a pan over high heat, melt the butter, then add chopped apples without the juice. Sauté on high heat for 7 minutes, stirring until the apples are golden brown.
Transfer apples back to the bowl with any remaining juices. Drizzle honey over the warm apples and mix until well coated.
Once the brie is baked, carefully transfer it to a serving plate with a flat spatula, including any melted cheese.
Top the brie with the caramelized apple mixture and sprinkle with chopped walnuts.
Serve warm and enjoy!
