Description
Baked Camembert with Cranberry Sauce is a warm and cozy appetizer that’s perfect for holiday gatherings. Soft, creamy Camembert is gently baked until gooey, then topped with warm cranberry sauce, toasted walnuts, and a sprinkle of dried cranberries. The combination of flavors is divine – a balance of rich, creamy cheese with tart cranberry and crunchy walnuts that’s both indulgent and comforting.
Ingredients
200 grams (7 oz) wheel of Camembert cheese
⅓ cup cranberry sauce
⅓ cup walnuts, roughly chopped
¼ cup dried cranberries, roughly chopped
Instructions
Preheat oven to 180°C (350-375°F), Gas Mark 4-5.
Place the Camembert wheel on a silicon mat on a baking tray. Using a paring knife, gently score the rind in a crosshatch pattern.
Bake the Camembert for 10 minutes, or until soft and warm.
While the cheese bakes, toast the walnuts in a pan over high heat until lightly golden and fragrant.
Microwave the cranberry sauce in a heatproof jug for 1-2 minutes to warm it through.
Carefully remove the baked Camembert from the oven and transfer it to a serving platter.
Spoon the warm cranberry sauce over the cheese, then sprinkle with toasted walnuts and chopped dried cranberries.
Serve immediately with crackers and a cheese knife for spreading.
