Description

These Baked Feta Bites are a delightful fusion of creamy feta cheese wrapped in a delicate phyllo pastry, baked to golden perfection. The crispy exterior contrasts beautifully with the rich, tangy feta, while a drizzle of honey adds a touch of sweetness that balances the flavors. The sesame seeds not only add a nutty crunch but also give the bites a visually appealing finish.


Ingredients

1 block feta cheese (200 grams)
Phyllo pastry
Extra virgin olive oil
Honey, to drizzle over each bite, to taste
Sesame seeds, to sprinkle over each bite


Instructions

Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
Pat dry the feta cheese with paper towels and cut it into 12 equally sized cubes.
Lay a sheet of phyllo pastry onto a chopping board and cut it into 4-6 pieces. Ensure each piece is wide enough to wrap a feta cube.
Brush olive oil over one small sheet of phyllo. Place a feta cube at the short end of the sheet, then wrap it by folding the sides over the cheese and rolling it up. Secure with a toothpick.
Brush the top of the wrapped feta with more olive oil and place it on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
Repeat with the remaining feta cubes and phyllo sheets.
Bake in the oven for 10-15 minutes until golden and crispy.
Remove from the oven, drizzle with honey, and sprinkle with sesame seeds before serving.
