Description

This delightful Blackberry Bliss Iced Tea Latte is not just a drink; it’s a refreshing journey with every sip. The tart sweetness of fresh blackberries, perfectly balanced with the rich, floral notes of Earl Grey, creates a sophisticated yet playful beverage. It’s an ideal choice for those warm summer afternoons when you crave something both invigorating and flavorful.

Ingredients

Scale

½ pint fresh blackberries (about 1 cup)
½ cup granulated sugar or any alternative sweetener
8 bags Earl Grey tea or 4 tablespoons loose-leaf tea
½ cup half-and-half or substitute (whole milk or any dairy alternative)
5 cups water
5 cups ice

Instructions

Bring 5 cups of water to a boil.
Meanwhile, place blackberries in a large bowl with granulated sugar. Crush into a thick jam-like liquid.
Add tea bags or loose-leaf tea and pour hot water over fruit and tea.
Steep sweet tea for 5 minutes if using Earl Grey or other black tea. Steep slightly less if substituting with green or white tea.
Meanwhile, place 5 cups of ice in a large pitcher.
After tea steeps, hold a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth over the pitcher of ice and strain blackberry tea concentrate over ice. The ice will immediately melt, diluting the concentrate and cooling the tea.
Store iced blackberry tea refrigerated for up to 7 days.
When ready to serve, pour blackberry tea over ice in a large glass. Add a drizzle of cream or up to a half glass of milk. Garnish with fresh blackberries, if desired. Enjoy!
