Ingredients
1 stick (1/2 cup) unsalted butter, at room temperature
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
Freshly ground black pepper
2 to 3 tablespoons Buffalo-flavored hot sauce, plus more for drizzling (optional)
1 teaspoon ranch seasoning, plus more for sprinkling
1/3 bunch fresh chives or 3 to 4 scallions
1 loaf seeded Italian bread
Carrot sticks, for serving
Celery sticks, for serving
Instructions
Allow 1 stick of unsalted butter to reach room temperature until it’s soft and spreadable.
Finely chop the chives or scallions to yield about 1/4 cup.
Combine the butter with Buffalo-flavored hot sauce, ranch seasoning, kosher salt, and pepper in a medium bowl. Use an electric hand mixer or a spatula to mix until the color is a uniform light orange.
Spread the butter mixture on a wooden board, creating a layer about 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick. Add artistic swirls and grooves with a knife or spoon for visual appeal.
Slice the Italian bread and optionally toast it.
Drizzle additional Buffalo sauce over the butter and garnish with chopped chives or scallions.
