Description

There’s something uniquely comforting about freshly baked biscuits, and the Butter Swim Biscuits are no exception. These delectable treats submerge in melted butter before baking, resulting in a golden top and a sumptuously soft, butter-soaked bottom that makes each bite a decadent experience. Perfect for any meal of the day, they pair beautifully with jams, gravies, or simply on their own.

Ingredients

Scale

2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups buttermilk
1 stick butter
4 tsp baking powder
4 tsp sugar
2 tsp salt

Instructions

Preheat oven to 450°F. In a medium-sized bowl, combine all the dry ingredients. Add the buttermilk and stir until a moist dough forms. Melt the butter in a microwave-safe bowl and pour into an 8×8 or 9×9 baking dish, ensuring the dish isn’t too shallow. Spread the dough evenly over the melted butter, touching the sides of the pan. Cut the dough into 9 squares. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the tops are golden brown.
