Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 1/2 cups white chocolate chips (2224 ounces)
  • 1 14-ounce can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon rum extract (adjust to taste)
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Ground cinnamon, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare Baking Dish: Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with foil, ensuring that the foil extends over the edges for easy removal. Press the foil smoothly into the corners and sides.
  2. Prepare Chocolate Chips: Place the white chocolate chips in a large mixing bowl and set aside.
  3. Heat Condensed Milk: Heat the sweetened condensed milk in a microwave-safe bowl for 90 seconds, ensuring it becomes hot without boiling over.
  4. Combine Milk and Chocolate: Pour the hot condensed milk over the chocolate chips. Let the mixture sit undisturbed for about 1 minute to soften the chips, then stir until they melt completely and the mixture is smooth.
  5. Add Flavorings and Butter: Blend in the rum extract, melted butter, and salt. Mix thoroughly. Adjust the amount of rum extract based on taste preference.
  6. Set the Fudge: Transfer the fudge mixture into the prepared baking dish, smoothing the surface with a spatula. Gently tap the dish on a table to eliminate air bubbles. Sprinkle a light layer of ground cinnamon over the top for added flavor.
  7. Chill and Serve: Refrigerate the dish for 2-4 hours or until the fudge is firm. Once set, lift the fudge out using the overhang of foil, cut it into 36 pieces, and enjoy.
