Description

This Cajun Garlic Butter Sauce is a rich and flavorful addition to any meal, combining the smoothness of melted butter with the boldness of Cajun spices. The minced garlic infuses the sauce with a deep, aromatic flavor, while the lemon juice adds a subtle tang that balances the richness of the butter. Fresh parsley provides a hint of freshness, making this sauce versatile enough to complement seafood, chicken, or vegetables.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Cajun Garlic Butter Sauce:
1 stick butter, divided
4 cloves garlic, minced or grated
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning (homemade or store-bought)
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, minced
For the Homemade Cajun Seasoning (Makes more than needed for the sauce):
3 tablespoons smoked paprika
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 tablespoon garlic powder
2 teaspoons kosher salt
1 teaspoon ground white pepper
1 teaspoon ground mustard
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
½ teaspoon dried basil

Instructions

Make the Cajun Garlic Butter Sauce:
Melt 1 tablespoon of the butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
Add the remaining butter, fresh parsley, lemon juice, and Cajun seasoning. Whisk the mixture until well combined, then cook for an additional 5 minutes on low heat, allowing the flavors to meld together.
Make the Homemade Cajun Seasoning:
In a small bowl, mix together all the ingredients for the Cajun seasoning. This recipe will make more than needed for the sauce, so store the extra in an airtight container for future use.
Serve:
Use the Cajun Garlic Butter Sauce to enhance seafood, chicken, or vegetables. Drizzle over your dish of choice, or use it as a dipping sauce for added flavor.
