Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped artichoke hearts
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped spinach
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella, divided
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley, plus more for garnish
  • 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes, plus more for garnish
  • Kosher salt to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 4 slices of your favorite bread, toasted

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Start by heating your oven to 350° F (177° C) and line a medium baking sheet with parchment paper for convenience and easy cleanup.
  2. Prepare the Cheese Mixture: In a large bowl, blend the softened cream cheese with artichoke hearts, spinach, 2/3 cup of the mozzarella, freshly grated Parmesan, minced garlic, chopped parsley, and red pepper flakes. Season the mixture with kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper.
  3. Assemble the Toasts: Place the toasted bread slices on the prepared baking sheet. Spread each piece generously with the spinach-artichoke mixture. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese over the tops of the smeared toasts.
  4. Bake the Toasts: Transfer the baking sheet into the oven and bake for about 10 to 12 minutes, until the cheese is thoroughly melted and bubbly. For a crispier top, you could broil the toasts for an additional minute.
  5. Garnish and Serve: Finish by garnishing the toasts with additional parsley and a sprinkle of red pepper flakes. Serve warm and enjoy the melty, cheesy delight with each bite.
