Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb beef sirloin or ribeye, thinly sliced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 (20 oz) package cheese tortellini (fresh or frozen)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup provolone cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook Tortellini: Prepare the tortellini as per the instructions on the package. Once cooked, drain and set aside for later use.
- Sauté Steak and Vegetables: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season the sliced beef with salt and pepper and cook until it’s browned on all sides. Remove the beef from the skillet and keep it aside.
- Cook Vegetables: In the same skillet, add onions, bell peppers, and garlic. Sauté these until the vegetables are tender and the onions have turned translucent, about 4-5 minutes.
- Make Provolone Sauce: Reduce the heat to medium and pour in the heavy cream, stirring well to mix the flavors. Gradually add the provolone, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheeses, stirring continuously until the cheese melts and the sauce becomes smooth and creamy.
- Combine Ingredients: Add the previously cooked tortellini and beef back into the skillet. Stir the mixture well to ensure that the pasta and beef are evenly coated with the creamy sauce.
- Serve: Transfer the prepared dish to serving plates, garnish with chopped fresh parsley, and serve while hot, ensuring a delightful and heartwarming meal.
