Description

This Chocolate Chip Dessert Pizza is a sweet twist on the classic savory pizza, perfect for dessert lovers! The crust is soft and slightly chewy, topped with a creamy vanilla-infused cream cheese “sauce,” and loaded with rich mini chocolate chips. The whole thing is finished with a buttery streusel topping that adds a delightful crunch. This dessert pizza is quick to make, fun to share, and will satisfy any sweet tooth craving.

Crust:
1 ½ cups (185 g) all-purpose flour
½ teaspoon instant yeast
¼ teaspoon salt
⅔ cup (155 ml) warm water
“Sauce”:
8 oz (225 g) cream cheese
¼ cup (50 g) sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup (175 g) mini chocolate chips
Streusel:
3 tablespoons butter, melted
¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
⅓ cup + 1 tablespoon (50 g) all-purpose flour
⅓ cup (66 g) sugar
2 tablespoons brown sugar, tightly packed


Instructions

Preheat the oven to 500°F (260°C) and line a pizza pan with parchment paper. Set it aside.
In a large bowl, combine flour, yeast, and salt, stirring well.
Add warm water and stir until ingredients are mostly combined. Use your hands to continue mixing until the dough forms a cohesive ball.
Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 5 minutes until elastic. If needed, add additional flour 1 tablespoon at a time if the dough is too sticky. Allow the dough to rest for 10 minutes.
Roll the dough out into a 12” circle and transfer it to the prepared pizza pan. Pinch edges or gently fold them over to form a crust.
Prepare your cream cheese “sauce” by cutting the cream cheese into 8 pieces and placing them in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in 10-second intervals, stirring between each, until the cream cheese is easy to stir.
Add sugar and vanilla extract to the cream cheese, stirring well. Spread the cream cheese “sauce” evenly over the pizza dough.
Sprinkle the mini chocolate chips evenly over the top and press/spread them into the “sauce”.
To make the streusel, add vanilla extract to the melted butter and stir. In a separate bowl, use a fork to mix together flour and sugars. Add the butter mixture and use a fork to combine until the mixture resembles coarse crumbles.
Sprinkle the streusel evenly over the pizza.
Bake the pizza in the 500°F (260°C) oven for 7 minutes or until the streusel turns golden brown.
Remove from the oven, allow to cool for several minutes, then slice and serve. Enjoy your sweet dessert pizza!
