3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
6 ounces semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 and 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/4 cup light brown sugar, packed
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon orange zest
2 large eggs, at room temperature
2 tablespoons whole milk
7 ounces orange chocolate, chopped (like Lindt intense orange)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 325 degrees (F). Line two large baking sheets with parchment paper and lightly spray with non-stick spray.
In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
In a microwave-safe bowl, combine semi-sweet chocolate and butter. Microwave in 15-second increments, stirring between each, until melted and smooth.
Whisk in vanilla, sugars, and orange zest. Beat in eggs one at a time, followed by the milk.
Mix in dry ingredients until just combined; fold in chopped orange chocolate.
Scoop 1/4 cupfuls of batter onto sheets. Bake at 300 degrees (after initial preheat) for 16-19 minutes.
