Ingredients
¼ cup dark chocolate (approx. 2 oz.), chopped
1 cup almond milk or milk of choice
1 tablespoon cocoa powder
1 tablespoon cane sugar
¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons freshly squeezed orange juice
2–3 orange peel rinds
Instructions
Melt the dark chocolate with the almond milk in a saucepan over medium-high heat, stirring frequently to prevent burning.
Once the chocolate is melted, reduce the heat to low and stir in the cocoa powder, cane sugar, and vanilla extract.
Add the orange juice and orange peel rinds.
Continue to simmer on low heat for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mixture is well combined and heated through.
Remove from heat. Serve in mugs and add optional toppings like whipped cream or extra chopped chocolate.
