Description

Ingredients

1 lb ground beef
2 cups elbow macaroni
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
1 tablespoon tomato paste
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried basil
Salt and pepper to taste
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese


Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat, breaking it apart with a spoon.
Add the onion and garlic to the skillet and cook until the onion is translucent.
Stir in diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato paste, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5-7 minutes.
Mix the cooked macaroni into the skillet with the beef and sauce.
Transfer to a greased baking dish and top evenly with shredded mozzarella.
Bake for 20-25 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.
