Description
Starting the day with a stack of warm, fluffy pancakes not only nourishes the body but also delights the soul. These pancakes, with their golden edges and soft, airy texture, make every breakfast feel like a special occasion. They are versatile enough to be topped with anything from classic maple syrup to fresh berries or even a dollop of whipped cream, catering to all tastes and preferences.
Ingredients
½ pint fresh blackberries (about 1 cup)
½ cup granulated sugar or any alternative sweetener
8 bags Earl Grey tea or 4 tablespoons loose-leaf tea
½ cup half-and-half or substitute (whole milk or any dairy alternative)
5 cups water
5 cups ice
Instructions
Combine the dry ingredients in a large-sized bowl. Make a well in the center and add the milk, melted butter, vanilla, and egg.
Whisk the ingredients together until smooth (some lumps are fine). The batter will be thick. Adjust the consistency with more milk if desired.
Heat a nonstick pan or griddle over medium-low heat. Grease with butter. Pour ¼ cup of batter onto the pan, smoothing gently into a round shape.
When the underside is golden and bubbles form on the top, flip with a spatula. Cook until the other side is golden. Repeat with remaining batter.
Serve with maple syrup, honey, or fruit.
