  • Author: Dulcia

Description

This Condensed Milk Pecan Pie is the epitome of Southern comfort, with its buttery crust and sweet, nutty filling. The combination of rich pecans and creamy condensed milk creates a luxurious texture that is both decadent and satisfying. Perfectly baked to achieve a golden-brown finish, this pie is as delightful to look at as it is to eat.

Ingredients

Scale

1 pie crust pastry
⅓ cup light brown sugar, packed
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
3 large eggs, at room temperature
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 cups pecans

Instructions

Fit your favorite pie crust into a 9-inch deep dish pan. Place it in the refrigerator until ready to use.
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Place a rimmed baking sheet on the bottom rack of the oven to preheat.
If desired, lightly toast the pecans in a skillet over medium heat. Stir frequently and remove from heat when they are fragrant. Set aside to cool.
In a large mixing bowl, stir together the brown sugar and flour. Add the eggs and mix to combine.
Stir in the sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract until the mixture is uniform.
Add the pecans and stir to coat them evenly. Pour the filling into the prepared pie shell.
Bake on the preheated sheet pan for 25 minutes. Cover the edges of the pie with a pie shield or aluminum foil. Continue to bake for about 10 more minutes, or until the edges of the pie are set and the center has just a slight wiggle left.
Cool completely to room temperature before transferring to the refrigerator for storage.
