Description

Cool Whip Candy is a simple and irresistible treat made by blending fluffy Cool Whip with smooth milk chocolate, then coating each bite-sized piece in rich dark chocolate. The result is a creamy, melt-in-your-mouth candy that’s easy to make and perfect for any occasion. Whether you’re making them for a special event or just craving something sweet, these candies offer the perfect balance of creamy and chocolatey goodness.

Ingredients

Scale

2 bags of milk chocolate chips (22 ounces total)
8-ounce tub of Cool Whip whipped topping
24 ounces good quality dark chocolate melting wafers

Instructions

Melt the Milk Chocolate:
In a microwave-safe bowl, pour in the milk chocolate chips and microwave for 1 minute. Remove and stir. Return to the microwave for another minute, stirring after each cycle until fully melted.
Line an 8×8 cake pan with parchment paper, ensuring it covers all sides.
Mix with Cool Whip:
In a larger bowl, add the Cool Whip. Gently fold the melted chocolate chips into the Cool Whip. It’s normal for the chocolate to harden into small flakes.
Freeze the Mixture:
Once the chocolate is well mixed into the Cool Whip, pour the mixture into the prepared pan. Place it in the freezer for 30 minutes. After freezing, remove and cut the candy into equal-sized squares.
Coat with Dark Chocolate:
In another microwave-safe bowl, melt the dark chocolate wafers, stirring after each heating cycle until smooth.
Using a fork or skewer, dip each frozen candy square into the melted chocolate and place them on a parchment-covered tray.
Final Step:
Keep the candy in the freezer until ready to serve. For best results, serve the candy cold. You can also turn this into truffles by dropping small spoonfuls onto a tray and freezing them.
