Description

Crab Deviled Eggs (California Roll Style) are a delightful and sophisticated twist on traditional deviled eggs, incorporating the fresh flavors of a California sushi roll. This fusion appetizer combines creamy deviled eggs with luxurious crab meat and fresh vegetables, topped off with the crunch of black sesame seeds.

Ingredients

Scale

1 dozen eggs
½ cup mayonnaise
2 teaspoons wasabi paste
¼ teaspoon salt
½ cup cooked crab meat
1 avocado, thinly sliced
½ cucumber, thinly sliced
Radishes, thinly sliced
Black sesame seeds

Instructions

Place eggs in a large saucepan and add enough cold water to cover by about 1 inch. Bring to a boil, then cover and remove from heat. Let stand for 13 minutes.
Drain eggs and transfer to an ice-water bath until cold. Peel eggs and cut them in half lengthwise.
Transfer yolks to a medium bowl, and mash with a fork until smooth. Stir in mayonnaise, wasabi, and salt.
Pipe or spoon the yolk mixture back into the egg whites.
Top each deviled egg with crab meat, avocado slices, cucumber, radish slices, and sprinkle with black sesame seeds.
Assembly:

Arrange the deviled eggs on a platter and garnish as suggested. Serve chilled as a sophisticated starter or side dish.
