  • 1 lb lump crab meat, picked over for shells
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • Vegetable oil, for frying

Instructions

  1. Combine the crab meat and breadcrumbs in a large mixing bowl. Fold in the beaten egg gently.
  2. Add mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, black pepper, parsley, and Old Bay seasoning to the crab mixture. Stir gently to distribute the seasonings.
  3. Shape the crab mixture into walnut-sized balls.
  4. Fry the crab balls in vegetable oil until golden brown and crispy, about 4-5 minutes per side.
  5. Drain the cooked crab balls on paper towels and serve hot with lemon wedges and sauce of choice.
