Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (16-ounce) package uncooked rotini pasta
  • 22-ounce jar Alfredo sauce (approximately 2 ½ cups)
  • 3 cups chicken stock (or substitute with chicken broth)
  • 2 cups diced or shredded rotisserie chicken (or any cooked chicken)
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic (about 2 large cloves)
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (or Italian blend cheese)
  • Optional garnish: Freshly grated Parmesan cheese and chopped herbs (basil, parsley, or oregano)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven Start by preheating your oven to 425°F (220°C), preparing it for baking.
  2. Prepare the Baking Dish In a large baking dish, combine the uncooked pasta, Alfredo sauce, chicken stock, diced chicken, and minced garlic. Ensure that the pasta is well-coated with the sauce mixture. Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil to retain moisture during the initial phase of baking.
  3. Bake the Pasta Place the covered dish in the preheated oven and bake for 30 minutes. After this time, remove the dish, stir the contents well, and check if the pasta is al dente. If it’s still firm, re-cover and continue baking until the desired texture is achieved.
  4. Add the Cheese Topping Once the pasta is cooked, evenly sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the casserole. Return it to the oven, uncovered, and bake for an additional 8-10 minutes until the cheese is melted and golden brown.
  5. Garnish and Serve Before serving, optionally garnish with freshly grated Parmesan and chopped herbs to enhance flavor and presentation. Serve the casserole warm and enjoy the rich, creamy textures and flavors.
