Introducing the Crescent Roll Taco Delight, a creative take on traditional tacos that offers a perfect blend of savory, zesty, and cheesy flavors. This recipe packages the delightful essence of tacos within soft, flaky crescent roll pastry. Ideal for a family dinner or a casual get-together, this dish promises to be both delicious and visually appealing, ensuring you get that perfect blend of taste and convenience.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (8 oz) can Pillsbury® refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
  • 1 lb lean ground beef (at least 80%)
  • 3/4 cup Old El Paso® Thick ‘n Chunky salsa
  • 2 tablespoons Old El Paso® taco seasoning mix (from 1-oz package)
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
  • Shredded lettuce, as desired (for garnish)
  • Diced tomato, as desired (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Oven and Pan: Preheat your oven to 375°F. Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into 8 triangles. Arrange the dough in an ungreased 9-inch square pan or 10-inch pie plate, pressing it over the bottom and up the sides to form a crust.
  2. Cook the Ground Beef: In a 10-inch skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat for 8 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally until fully cooked. Drain the excess fat from the skillet.
  3. Add Salsa and Seasoning: Mix the salsa and taco seasoning into the cooked beef. Let the mixture simmer for about 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to blend.
  4. Assemble the Dish: Spoon the beef mixture into the prepared crescent roll crust. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the beef.
  5. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the crust turns a deep golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and melted.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Remove the dish from the oven. If desired, top with fresh shredded lettuce and diced tomatoes before serving hot.
