Ingredients
8 sticks of mozzarella string cheese
1 cup of all-purpose flour
3 large eggs
2 cups of seasoned Panko breadcrumbs
3 tablespoons of olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup of finely grated parmesan cheese
Instructions
In a shallow dish, beat the eggs until well blended. Set aside.
Place flour in a large freezer bag or bowl. Set aside.
In another shallow dish, combine Panko breadcrumbs with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and parmesan cheese. Mix well.
Unwrap mozzarella sticks and coat them in the flour.
Dip the floured sticks into the egg mixture, then coat with the Panko mixture. Ensure no cheese is visible.
Double coat by repeating the egg dip and Panko coating for extra crunch.
Freeze breaded sticks on a baking sheet for at least an hour.
Preheat air fryer to 390ºF. Spray fry basket with olive oil.
Cook mozzarella sticks in batches for 5-7 minutes until golden and crispy.
Serve with marinara sauce.
