Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds cube steak
  • 1 packet (1 oz) onion soup mix
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Place the cube steak in the Crock-Pot, arranging it in a single layer if possible.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the onion soup mix, cream of mushroom soup, cream of chicken soup, beef broth, garlic powder, black pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Whisk until well blended.
  3. Pour the soup mixture over the cube steak, ensuring the meat is fully covered.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the cube steak is tender.
  5. If a thicker gravy is preferred, mix the cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of cold water to create a slurry. Stir it into the gravy about 30 minutes before serving.
  6. Serve the cube steak with gravy over mashed potatoes, rice, or egg noodles, and garnish with fresh parsley.
