3 tablespoons taco seasoning (DIY version or sugar-free store-bought)
⅔ cup heavy whipping cream
4 large eggs
⅓ cup chunky salsa
1 ¼ cups shredded cheddar cheese
½ teaspoon garlic salt
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper


Instructions

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and ensure the oven rack is in the center position. Grease a 9-inch pie pan and set it aside.
Cook the Ground Beef: In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef, adding oil if necessary to prevent sticking. Cook until the beef is fully browned, then drain any excess grease.
Season the Beef: Add the taco seasoning to the browned ground beef in the skillet. Stir to combine evenly, then spoon the seasoned beef into the prepared pie pan.
Prepare the Egg Mixture: In a small bowl, whisk together the heavy cream and eggs until smooth. Add the salsa, 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese, garlic salt, and black pepper, and stir to combine.
Assemble the Pie: Pour the egg mixture over the taco beef in the pie pan, ensuring it covers the beef evenly. Sprinkle the remaining ¼ cup of shredded cheddar cheese on top.
