Ingredients
1 Cup Dark Chocolate Chips
½ Cup Orange Puree (One medium-sized orange, blended)
¼ Cup Coconut Milk (or any dairy-free milk)
3 Tablespoons Coconut Flour
Zest from 1 Orange
1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
¼ Teaspoon Salt
For the Top Coating:
½ Cup Dark Chocolate Chips
1 Tablespoon Coconut Oil
Instructions
Preparing the Orange:
Grate the orange zest and set it aside.
Peel the orange and blend the fruit until it forms a smooth puree (about 60 seconds).
Making the Truffles:
In a small saucepan over low heat, combine dark chocolate chips, orange puree, orange zest, coconut milk, vanilla extract, and salt. Stir until smooth and creamy.
Transfer the chocolate mixture into a bowl and fold in the coconut flour until well combined.
Cover the mixture and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
Once chilled, roll the mixture into 14 small balls and place them on a plate. Return them to the refrigerator while preparing the coating.
Putting it all together:
In a small bowl, melt the dark chocolate chips with coconut oil using 20-second microwave intervals, stirring in between until smooth.
Using two forks, dip each truffle ball into the melted chocolate, letting the excess drip off before placing them on a parchment-lined sheet.
Drizzle extra chocolate, top with orange zest, and sprinkle flaky sea salt (optional). Refrigerate for 15 minutes to set.
