Description

Experience the ultimate in dessert luxury with the Decadent Baileys Chocolate Cheesecake Delight. This exquisite trifle combines the rich flavors of silky chocolate cake and a smooth Baileys-infused cheesecake filling. Elegantly assembled and visually stunning, this dessert is perfect for celebrating special occasions or enjoying a delightful treat any time you crave something truly spectacular.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup heavy cream (plus more for whipping)
  • 1/2 cup Baileys Irish Cream
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips, melted
  • 1 chocolate cake (store-bought or homemade)
  • Chocolate shavings for decoration
  • Optional: fresh berries for topping (such as raspberries or strawberries)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chocolate Cake If you’re baking from scratch, ensure your cake is completely cooled before assembly. If using a store-bought cake, simply prepare it by slicing it into manageable pieces.
  2. Make the Cheesecake Filling In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until fluffy. Gradually add the melted chocolate and Baileys, mixing until everything is seamlessly combined into a creamy, rich filling.
  3. Whip the Cream In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold this whipped cream into the cheesecake mixture, taking care not to deflate the mixture, to maintain a light and airy texture.
  4. Assemble the Trifle In a large trifle bowl or individual cups, begin by placing pieces of chocolate cake at the bottom. Follow with a generous layer of the cheesecake filling. Repeat these layers until the container is filled, finishing with a top layer of the cheesecake filling for a smooth look.
  5. Chill Once assembled, cover the trifle and refrigerate it for at least 2-4 hours. This chilling time helps the flavors to blend and the trifle to set properly, enhancing the overall texture and taste.
  6. Top & Serve Just before serving, adorn the top of your trifle with chocolate shavings and, if desired, fresh berries for a burst of color and freshness.
