Dill Pickle Bread is a savory delight that combines the tangy flavor of dill pickles with the richness of cheddar cheese, all baked into a soft and tender loaf. Perfect for pickle lovers, this bread adds a unique twist to your traditional quick bread recipes. It’s ideal for serving as a snack, pairing with soups, or even using as a base for an irresistible sandwich.

Ingredients

Scale

1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 large eggs
1 tablespoon sugar
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1 tablespoon Dirty Dill Chips juice
1/2 cup chopped Dirty Dill Chips
1/2 cup shredded Cheddar
2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill

Instructions

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9″x5″ loaf pan with parchment paper for easy removal.
Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the sour cream, vegetable oil, eggs, and sugar until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
Add Dry Ingredients: Add the flour, baking powder, salt, and Dirty Dill Chips juice to the wet mixture. Stir until just combined, making sure not to overmix.
Fold in Add-Ins: Gently fold in the chopped Dirty Dill Chips, shredded Cheddar, and fresh dill until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, spreading it evenly. Bake for about 40 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Cool: Allow the bread to cool completely in the pan before slicing and serving.
