Ingredients
1/2 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
4 oz cream cheese, room temperature
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1 large egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large mixing bowl, add the softened butter and cream cheese. Use an electric mixer to cream them together until smooth.
Gradually mix in the powdered sugar at low speed until well combined.
Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing thoroughly.
Sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl, then gradually add to the wet ingredients, mixing until a dough forms.
Scoop out the cookie dough using a medium-sized cookie scoop and roll the dough into balls using your hands.
Place the dough balls on the prepared baking sheet and bake on the center rack for 10 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Once cooled, dust the cookies with powdered sugar, if desired.
