Description

The Easy Turkey Basil Pesto Panini is a deliciously satisfying sandwich that combines the fresh flavors of basil pesto with the savory taste of sliced turkey. The gooey fontina cheese melts beautifully over the turkey and tomatoes, all nestled between two slices of crispy, golden-brown sourdough bread. This panini is perfect for a quick and hearty lunch, offering a burst of flavor in every bite.

8 pieces sourdough bread
1 cup pesto
½ pound fontina cheese, sliced
1 ½ pounds turkey, sliced
2 Roma tomatoes, sliced
Olive oïl


Instructions

Lay the bread slices on a flat surface. Spread pesto on each slice of bread.
Divide the fontina cheese evenly among the slices, placing it on top of the pesto. Set 4 slices aside.
Evenly distribute the sliced turkey among the 4 prepared slices of bread, placing it on top of the cheese.
Add the tomato slices on top of the turkey.
Top with the remaining bread slices and lightly press down to secure. Brush both sides of the sandwich with olive oil.
Grill or toast the sandwiches on medium-high heat until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
Remove from heat, slice in half, and serve.
