Ingredients
Scale
- 1 stick salted butter (1/2 cup), melted
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar
- 1/4 cup white sugar
- 1 large egg
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1⅔ cups all-purpose white flour
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup Christmas red/green/white mix sprinkles
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (177°C). Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and set aside.
- In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, cinnamon, baking soda, and salt until they are well combined.
- In a larger mixing bowl, thoroughly mix the melted butter, brown sugar, and white sugar. Add the egg and vanilla extract, continuing to mix until the mixture is smooth.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined to avoid over-mixing, which can affect the texture of the cookies.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and sprinkles using a rubber spatula or wooden spoon, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the cookie dough.
- Using a cookie scoop or spoon, drop 2-tablespoon mounds of dough onto the prepared cookie sheet, spaced adequately apart. Bake in the preheated oven for 11-12 minutes, depending on your texture preference.
- Allow the cookies to rest on the cookie sheet for at least 10 minutes after baking. Then, transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
