  • 375 g (13.25 oz) Puff pastry
  • 6 Sausages
  • 40 g (0.25 cups) Stuffing mix
  • 75 ml (0.33 cups) freshly boiled water
  • 3 tablespoon Cranberry sauce
  • 1 Egg, whisked
  • 1 tablespoon Poppy seeds

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Oven and Pastry Preheat your oven to 200°C/180°C fan (400°F/Gas 6). Roll out the puff pastry and cut it lengthways into two equal halves.
  2. Make the Stuffing Pour 75 ml of freshly boiled water into a small bowl, add the stuffing mix, stir, and allow it to cool.
  3. Prepare the Sausage Mix Squeeze the sausage meat out of its casings and combine it with the cooled stuffing. Mix until well incorporated.
  4. Assemble the Pastry Distribute the sausage mixture evenly along each strip of pastry. Spoon 1.5 tablespoons of cranberry sauce over the meat on each strip. Fold the pastry over the filling and press down to seal. Use a fork to crimp the edges.
  5. Add Finishing Touches Brush the pastry tops with the whisked egg, and sprinkle with poppy seeds. Cut each pastry strip into 16 pieces.
  6. Bake Arrange the bites on a lined baking tray and bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
