Description
The French Dip Biscuit takes the classic flavors of the French dip sandwich and wraps them in a golden, flaky biscuit. With each bite, you experience the combination of juicy roast beef, melted Swiss cheese, and the tangy kick of horseradish mayonnaise, perfectly complemented by a savory, rich au jus for dipping.
Ingredients
1 can (16.3 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough
1/2 lb deli roast beef, thinly sliced
1/2 cup shredded Swiss cheese
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon horseradish sauce
1 packet (1 oz) au jus gravy mix
2 cups water
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking sheet.
Separate the biscuits and split each one in half horizontally to create two rounds.
In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise and horseradish sauce. Spread a thin layer of this mixture on the cut side of each biscuit half.
Add a few slices of roast beef and a sprinkle of shredded Swiss cheese to the bottom half of each biscuit. Cover with the top half of the biscuit, pressing down gently to seal.
Arrange the filled biscuits on the greased baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
While the biscuits are baking, prepare the au jus by mixing the gravy mix with 2 cups of water in a small saucepan. Heat over medium heat until the mixture simmers and thickens, stirring frequently.
Serve the warm biscuits alongside the prepared au jus for dipping.
