Ingredients
Scale
- 2 lobster tails (6–8 ounces each)
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Salt (to taste)
- Pepper (to taste)
- Lemon wedges (for serving)
Instructions
- Preheat the Grill or Broiler Start by preheating the grill to medium-high heat (approximately 400°F/200°C). If you’re using a broiler, preheat it to a similar temperature.
- Prepare the Lobster Tails Using kitchen scissors, cut the top shell of the lobster tails lengthwise down the middle, stopping just before the tail fin. Carefully pull apart the shell and gently lift the lobster meat out, resting it on top of the shell. This preparation method not only enhances the presentation but also allows the flavors to better penetrate the meat.
- Make the Garlic Herb Butter In a small mixing bowl, melt the butter either in the microwave or on the stove. Once melted, combine it with the minced garlic, chopped parsley, and lemon juice. Season the mixture with salt and pepper to taste.
- Apply the Butter Mixture Generously brush the prepared garlic herb butter mixture over the exposed lobster meat and inside the shells, infusing the tails with flavorful moisture that will enhance their natural juiciness.
- Cook the Lobster Tails Place the buttered lobster tails on the grill or beneath the broiler. Grill them for about 5-7 minutes, occasionally basting with the remaining butter mixture. Cook until the lobster meat becomes opaque and firm, reaching an internal temperature of 140°F (60°C).
- Rest and Serve Once cooked, remove the lobster tails from the heat and let them rest for a couple of minutes. Serve warm with additional lemon wedges on the side for an added touch of zest.
