  • 2 lbs chicken tenders, thighs, or breast
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 stick butter
  • 810 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan
  • 1 tbsp hot sauce (optional)
  • 2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1/3 cup fresh parsley, minced
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper

Instructions

  1. Soak wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes to prevent burning during the air frying process.
  2. In a small bowl, combine paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Set this mixture aside for later use.
  3. Cut the chicken into 3-inch pieces. In a large mixing bowl, toss them with olive oil and the prepared seasoning mixture until each piece is evenly coated.
  4. Firmly thread the seasoned chicken pieces onto the prepared skewers, making sure they are packed tightly.
  5. Combine butter and minced garlic in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat until the butter is partially melted, then add red pepper flakes, hot sauce, parsley, and parmesan cheese, whisking everything together.
  6. Place the skewers in the air fryer and cook at 400F for about 5 minutes. Flip, then baste with part of the sauce, and cook for an additional 2 minutes. Flip once more, baste again, and continue cooking for another 5-6 minutes or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165F. The total cooking time should be about 12-14 minutes.
  7. Once cooked, brush the skewers with the remaining garlic parmesan sauce and sprinkle additional parmesan cheese before serving.
