1 lb asparagus (This weight is before cutting the woody part.)
4 oz mushrooms (Button mushrooms recommended, but any variety can be used.)
1 tablespoon garlic paste
1 tablespoon olive oil
Cilantro for garnishing
½ teaspoon red chili flakes


Instructions

Prepare the Asparagus: Wash and dry asparagus. Cut off the woody bottom about 2 inches and slice into 2-3 inch pieces.
Prepare Mushrooms: Choose firm mushrooms, remove stems, peel, and slice. Wash and pat dry.
Saute and Season: In a nonstick or cast-iron skillet over medium heat, add mushrooms in a single layer. Cook undisturbed for 2 minutes, flip, and cook for another 2 minutes. Add asparagus, and stir fry for 1 minute. Then add garlic paste, olive oil, and red chili flakes. Cook for 5-6 minutes until asparagus are tender yet crisp.
Garnish & Serve: Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve immediately.
