Ingredients
500 ml Milk
70 g Corn Starch
40 g Sugar
1 cup Panko breadcrumbs
2 tbsp Corn Starch (additional for coating)
1 Egg, beaten
Instructions
In a non-stick pot, combine milk, 70 g of corn starch, and sugar. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring constantly to prevent burning. Cook until the mixture thickens (3-5 minutes).
Line a container with parchment paper, pour the thickened milk into it, and flatten. Cover with another piece of parchment paper. Refrigerate for 2 hours or overnight.
Cut the set milk pudding into 8 pieces. Dredge each piece first in corn starch, then dip in beaten egg, and finally coat in panko breadcrumbs.
Deep fry in hot oil for 4-5 minutes until golden brown.
Drizzle with condensed milk and sprinkle powdered sugar over the fried milk before serving.
