Ingredients
1 pound ground chicken
1 tablespoon minced ginger root
2 teaspoons minced garlic
1/4 teaspoon crushed hot red chili pepper
1 tablespoon rice wine
3 tablespoons water (divided)
1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
4 teaspoons soy sauce
5 tablespoons sugar
5 tablespoons white vinegar
Zest of 1/2 an orange
1 tablespoon cornstarch
Instructions
Mix rice wine, 2 tablespoons water, sesame oil, soy sauce, sugar, white vinegar, and orange zest to create the sauce.
Dissolve cornstarch in 1 tablespoon of water to make a cornstarch mixture; set aside.
Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large pan, add ground chicken, and cook until a crust forms. Break apart the chicken and continue cooking for 2-3 more minutes.
Add ginger, garlic, and crushed red pepper to the chicken; cook for about 10 seconds.
Pour the orange sauce into the pan, bring to a boil, then add the cornstarch mixture.
