Ingredients
Scale
- 12 ounce bag of medium egg noodles
- 1 pound of ground beef
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 10.75 ounce can of tomato soup
- 10.5 ounce can of cream of mushroom soup (cream of chicken can be substituted)
- 1 cup of milk
- 2 teaspoons of Worcestershire sauce
- ½ teaspoon of minced garlic
- 2 tablespoons of dried onion flakes
- ¼ cup of grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Prepare Oven and Baking Dish: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Spray a 9×13-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray and set it aside.
- Cook the Noodles: Cook the medium egg noodles according to the package directions until al dente, then drain well and set aside.
- Brown the Beef: In a large skillet, cook and crumble the ground beef over medium heat, seasoning with salt and pepper to taste. Once fully cooked, drain any excess grease from the skillet.
- Mix Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the tomato soup, cream of mushroom soup (or cream of chicken if using), milk, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, dried onion flakes, and additional salt and pepper.
- Combine Noodles and Beef with Sauce: Add the cooked egg noodles and browned ground beef to the bowl with the sauce mixture. Stir together until everything is well combined.
- Bake: Spread the noodle mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes. If the top begins to dry out or crisp excessively, cover with aluminum foil during the last few minutes of baking.
- Final Touch: After removing from the oven, sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the top of the casserole before serving.
