Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken fillets, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 oz penne pasta
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Pasta Cook the penne pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain the pasta and set aside.
  2. Cook the Chicken In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Season the chicken pieces with garlic powder, oregano, thyme, basil, salt, and pepper. Add the chicken to the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes or until golden and fully cooked.
  3. Make the Cheese Sauce While the chicken cooks, melt butter in another skillet over medium heat. Add heavy cream and stir to combine. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes. Gradually stir in the cheddar, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheeses. Season with salt and pepper, and stir continuously until the cheeses are melted and the sauce becomes creamy.
  4. Combine Pasta and Sauce Add the cooked penne pasta to the cheese sauce, tossing to ensure all pasta is well-coated with the sauce.
  5. Add the Chicken Once the chicken is fully cooked, incorporate it into the pasta and sauce mixture. Stir gently to combine so the chicken is evenly distributed throughout the pasta.
  6. Garnish and Serve Serve the pasta hot, garnished with freshly chopped parsley to add a touch of freshness and color.
