Description
These Homemade Peach Ring Gummies are a fresh and chewy treat packed with real fruit flavor. Made with ripe peaches, orange juice, and a touch of honey, these gummies are a healthier alternative to store-bought candies. The gelatin gives them a perfect chewy texture, and the addition of a granulated sweetener coating brings a nostalgic touch, making them a hit with both kids and adults alike.
Ingredients
1 lb peaches, peeled and sliced (defrosted frozen peaches can be used)
1/3 cup orange juice
2 tbsp + 1 tsp gelatin
2 tbsp honey
Optional:
Granulated sweetener for coating
Instructions
In a blender or food processor, add the peeled peaches and orange juice. Blend until smooth and fully liquid.
Set a fine mesh strainer over a medium-sized pot and strain the peach mixture, pressing the pulp with a silicone spatula to extract as much juice as possible. You should have about 1 1/4 cups of juice after straining.
Pour the strained peach juice into the pot and add the honey. Stir well to combine.
Sprinkle the gelatin over the peach mixture and gently stir to combine. Allow it to sit for 2 minutes to thicken and bloom.
Transfer the pot to the stove and heat over low heat for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mixture is fully liquid and smooth.
Using a dropper, carefully transfer the liquid into silicone gummy molds, or pour the mixture into a large glass container.
Place the molds or container in the fridge and let the gummies set for 4-6 hours, or until fully firm.
Once set, carefully remove the gummies from the molds. If desired, toss them in granulated sweetener for a classic peach ring texture.
Store the gummies in the fridge and enjoy!
