Description

The Iced English Tea Latte is a delightful and refreshing beverage, perfect for warm days or whenever you crave a cool, creamy treat. Made with steeped black tea and smooth milk, this iced latte offers a wonderful balance of robust tea flavor and rich, creamy texture. You can enjoy it as is or sweeten it to your liking for a personalized touch.

Ingredients

Scale

1 ½ cups whole milk (or milk of your choice)
2 black tea bags
Sweetener of choice (optional)

Instructions

Steep the Tea:
Place the two black tea bags in a measuring cup large enough to hold the milk.
Heat the Milk:
In a small saucepan, gently heat the milk over low heat, stirring frequently. Remove from heat as soon as you see steam rising from the milk; avoid letting the milk boil.
Combine Tea and Milk:
Pour the hot milk over the tea bags in the measuring cup. Allow the tea to steep in the milk for 10 minutes.
Remove the Tea Bags:
After 10 minutes, gently stir the tea bags in the milk and squeeze them slightly to release any remaining liquid. Remove the tea bags from the milk.
Sweeten (Optional):
If you wish to sweeten your tea latte, add your preferred sweetener at this point and stir until it dissolves completely.
Cool the Tea:
Loosely cover the measuring cup with a towel and let the tea cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes. This will help prevent a skin from forming on top of the milk as it cools.
Chill the Tea:
Once cooled, loosely cover the measuring cup with plastic wrap and refrigerate the tea until it is cold.
Serve:
When ready to serve, pour the chilled tea latte over ice in a glass.
If Making a Bottle’s Worth:
After the tea latte has cooled down sufficiently in the refrigerator, pour it into a bottle and store it in the fridge until ready to use.
