1 pound sauerkraut, drained
14 ounces kielbasa sausage, sliced into 1/2-inch rounds
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
2 tablespoons packed light brown sugar
1 tablespoon spicy brown mustard (optional)

Instructions

Thinly slice the red onion if using.
Heat butter and oil in a large skillet over medium heat until shimmering. Add kielbasa and cook until browned on both sides, about 3 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
