Ingredients

4 slices of thick bread (any kind you like)
2 Tbsp butter, softened
2 Tbsp pasta sauce
2 Tbsp ricotta cheese or cottage cheese
4 large tomato slices, optional
2 slices mozzarella, or 1/4 c shredded
2 Tbsp shredded parmesan cheese
Dried herbs (or fresh)


Instructions

Spread 1/2 Tbsp of butter on each slice of bread, covering evenly. Flip the bread so the buttered side is down.
Spread 2 Tbsp of pasta sauce on 2 slices of bread and 2 Tbsp of ricotta on the other 2 slices.
On the pasta sauce bread, add sliced tomatoes and a sprinkle of dried herbs.
Top with parmesan and mozzarella cheeses.
Place the ricotta-spread slices on top, ricotta side facing down.
Cook in a preheated skillet over medium heat for 2-3 minutes on each side, until golden brown and cheese has melted.
